
Lauren Adams
Master of Speech Pathology, Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.
Lauren graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology in 2024 and works with adults with communication and swallowing difficulties across community, home and aged care settings. Prior to commencing with Adult Speech Pathology Services Adelaide, Lauren worked within SA Health at Flinders Medical Centre, providing speech pathology services within inpatient Rehabilitation and Palliative Care.
Lauren is passionate about adult rehabilitation and supporting people to maximise communication, swallowing safety and participation following neurological events and progressive conditions. Her clinical experience includes working with adults following stroke, those with neurodegenerative conditions and individuals undergoing general rehabilitation. She has a strong interest in the assessment and management of dysphagia and adult communication disorders, including aphasia, cognitive-communication impairment, dysarthria and voice disorders.
Lauren brings a strong rehabilitation mindset to her community based work and values supporting clients in their everyday environments, including the home and aged care settings. She has a strong relational and wellbeing focused approach, recognising the importance of trust, collaboration and emotional safety in achieving meaningful therapy outcomes. Lauren’s background in education further supports her ability to provide clear, supportive education to clients, families and care teams, alongside evidence based, person centred therapy.
